All HerculexTM hybrids contain LibertyLink® technology, making them tolerant to over-the-top applications of LIBERTY herbicide for powerful weed control.
LibertyLink®
- The Liberty®/LibertyLink® system offers the ease, convenience and cost effectiveness of the Roundup Ready® system.
- Non-selective herbicide that controls over 120 grasses and broadleaf weeds including weeds resistant or tolerant to Roundup® as well as Roundup Ready volunteers.
- No known resistance to its unique mode of action.
- Combines excellent crop safety with fast-acting control.
- Rotate with Roundup Ready® to manage weeds and resistance.
- Fast-acting contact herbicide. Symptoms of weed death are visible in as little as one or two days.

It is the responsibility of growers planting corn hybrids with the HerculexTM Xtra trait
to follow Insect Resistance
- Follow the 80/20 rule—plant 20% of all your corn acres as non-HerculexTM Xtra or YieldGard® Plus corn refuge, except in corn/cotton areas that require 50% refuge.

HerculexTM Xtra refuge can be seperated by a ditch or road, but not
another field. If perimeter or splitting planter configurations are
used for the refuge, the strips must be at least four consecutive rows
wide.

Herbicide Tolerance
Hybrids containing HerculexTM Xtra technology are resistant* to Liberty®
herbicide when applied over-the-top in accordance with the Liberty®
herbicide label.
*HerculexTM corn contains a gene making it tolerant ONLY to glufosinate ammonium
herbicides such as Liberty® herbicide from Bayer. This herbicide gene will NOT safeguard
this hybrid against application of other herbicides. Accidental application of other herbicides
to this hybrid could result in total crop loss.
